ASG’s Dan Golding Named 2026 iMasons Innovation Champion; CEO Jarrett Appleby Honored Among iM100 Top 10

Honors during YOTTA 2026 put a spotlight on ASG’s impact on digital infrastructure

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 30, 2026 – ASG Chief Technology Officer Dan Golding received the 2026 iMasons Innovation Champion award Sept. 29 at YOTTA in Las Vegas. That same night, ASG CEO Jarrett Appleby was named to the iM100 Top 10. Infrastructure Masons (iMasons), the nonprofit professional association for the digital infrastructure industry, presented both honors at its annual awards ceremony.

Each year the Innovation Champion award goes to one person who has “visibly advanced innovation in digital infrastructure.” That can mean making facilities more efficient, reliable or sustainable, or bringing digital resources to communities that lack them. Nominees must show tangible, repeatable results. Golding joins past champions including Yuval Bachar of EdgeCloudLink, Steven Boyce of Novva Data Centers and Lex Coors of Digital Realty.

Golding brings more than 20 years of data center experience to ASG. There he helps developers, investors and operators tell viable projects apart from speculative ones in a market shaped by scarce power. He has become one of the industry’s most candid voices on what it takes to bring new capacity online.

“This recognition belongs to everyone working to make digital infrastructure faster to build and more reliable to run,” Golding said. “The industry’s hardest problems sit where power, land and compute meet, and that is exactly where innovation has to happen.”

iMasons calls the Top 10 “the pinnacle of iM100 recognition.” For 2026, the Top 10 honors the ten people whose vision and leadership helped build the organization. Appleby has been part of that work since 2020. He helped expand iMasons chapters into China, Japan, India, Africa and Latin America, sponsored iMasons Women from its start, and helped launch the iMasons Power Accord. In November 2025 he hosted the Power Accord’s advisory council in Northern Virginia, where more than 110 industry, utility and regulatory leaders met. The convening informed iMasons’ formal comments to FERC on large-load interconnection.

“iMasons has always been about people,” Appleby said. “It brings talent into this industry and gives it room to grow. I’m proud to be recognized alongside the peers who built this community, and prouder still to see Dan honored on the same night.”

Next, ASG heads to infra/STRUCTURE in Las Vegas. On Oct. 7, Golding, Appleby, Scott Jones and Dustin Wertheimer will take the stage for the full-team panel “Are We Screwed?”
